1000 Island Parkway

The picturesque stretch of the 1000 Islands Parkway provides an excellent opportunity to see the islands by being in the midst of their beauty and fascinating geological history. Try biking or hiking on some or the entire 37- kilometre paved bicycle pathway that skirts the shoreline's coves and bays on the waterfront. The 1000 Islands Parkway runs between Gananoque and Brockville and also forms a section of Ontario's Waterfront Trail that will take you through small port hamlets like Ivy Lea and Rockport.

Enjoy this incredible path lined with scenery of granite cliffs and sandstone outcroppings next to the shimmering waters of the mighty St. Lawrence River. Intriguing stops along the way include St. Lawrence Islands National Park, Browns Bay, many campgrounds, picnic areas, marinas, beaches and the Landon Bay Centre, which also has hiking trails, beautiful gardens and a superb natural lookout over the river.
