OUR ISLANDS

The Admiralty Islands, located just southwest of Gananoque, offer a multitude of boating excursions. The breathtaking channels and sheltered back bays of this spectacular cluster of islands will provide enough adventures to easily fill an afternoon or full day. Wanderer's Channel invites an easygoing exploration, or visit Half Moon Bay's imposing granite rock "outdoor cathedral", and the warm sand beaches of Thwartway Islands' western shore. Aubrey, Beaurivage and McDonald Islands are ideal places to relax on a hot summers day or view the sun setting over the open water in the evening.

PADDLE BOATING

For people who enjoy the water but don't want to deal with trying to row a boat or operate a motor or sail, paddle boating is a wonderful way to explore our waterfront. Paddle boating requires no real skill, they are quiet, and which means you can soak up the calming lapping sounds of water and enjoy a romantic atmosphere for two.

SAILING

Sailing in the 1000 Islands, is by nature, a peaceful, unhurried way to defuse the stress in your everyday life. The art of smooth sailing is to work as part of a team- you make the boat go, you have to crank winches and trim sails and set courses and steer the boat and while many people are intimidated by the idea of sailing, it is not a hard skill to learn.
